Jackson and his computer band

Warp records have only let me down a couple of times in their long history and that was probably more to do with my own musical insecurities at the time. Everything else has been a pleasure. They seem to be able to rescue me just when I get that ‘musical paranoia’ that all the best albums are now boring and nothing will ever be made again of particular note.

Jackson and his computer band‘ is a long name for a one-bloke band. But I’m into it. He makes tracks that are the musical equivalent of tipping a huge box of Lego over your carpet and then sticking it all together with big hunks of lipstick and drama. Punky, fiercely electronic, and cut-up vintage.

Check out his space on the Warp Records website, as I know he has been doing some DJing in the UK lately. or just buy his album ‘Smash‘, (which is ace) and dance in your own house with a couple of fags and some Red Stripe.
