Monograph
I have to confess that one of my longest standing inspirations in the design world is Creative Review magazine. The specialised content that appears on their blog is just geeky enough to keep me coming back for more. I love the printed version of their magazine and although I feel that the weighty price tag is justified by the incredible images, sturdy paper stock and well-researched content, I still prefer to read the copy that my work buys in rather than empty my coppers over the newsagent counter. Typical Yorkshireman.
That said, one reason alone to subscribe to Creative Review, is the small feature publication that comes free with it called Monograph. It showcases work from a particalur artist or project each month and it’s unavailable anywhere else. The quality and feel of this little gem, is unmatched and I haven’t read a copy of it yet that doesn’t end up with me cooing. From Bollywood, to hotel door-hangers, to boy-racer Japanese jalopies; monograph seems to cover it.
If you can’t spare the £64 annual subscription price, then the Creative Review blog will have to do for now.
