Marion Dubier Clark

Go on then… Just one quick post before bed then.

I’ve been enjoying the work of photographer Marion Dubier Clark quite a bit today. She’s been popping up fairly frequently on the likes of ffffound and I have to say that I think if I ever got married, I’d like her to take the pictures of the wedding. The resultant ambience would be cheeky, rare and superbly framed.

She has an incredible portfolio on her site that features some lavishly vintage shots of flowers that look as though they would be at home on the pages of a sun-bleached copy of some seed-catalgoue left to season quietly under the window of a damp garden shed.  Then there’s the ‘postcardy’ Europe selection that has such a brilliant contrast treatment to it, that it feels as though you are staring at the photos on a lightbox. There’s so much to see in her pictures and somehow the details that are picked out feel quite tender and personal.

I could look at ‘em all day… And I pretty much have done too… on and off, of course.
